New Feature: Geo Tracking

JangoMail now has Geo Tracking reports that enable clients to determine the location (city/state/country/zip code/ISP/latitude/longitude) of recipient activity on Opens, Clicks and Web Page Hits. JangoMail is one of the few email marketing service providers to offer Geo Tracking reporting and data.

Overview:

Clients can use Geo Tracking to view location data in raw format or visually as an overlay of Google Maps. This data can be used to segment a recipient list by location or by a specific distance from a particular zip code. Geo Tracking enables clients to target subscribers by location, therefore offering a more relevant, personalized and localized email message. 

Instructions:

To view your data visually as an overlay of Google Maps:

1. Click on Reporting and Analytics in your JangoMail account.
2. Click on the Subject Line, Open, Click or other activity data that you want to view.
3. Find the (map) link in the upper left corner next to Recipients

4. You will now see a world map. To narrow down the location, use the left navigation or click where you want to view and choose Select.

Google Maps

To segment your list using Geo Tracking:

1. Click on Reporting and Analytics in your JangoMail account.
2. Click on the Open, Click or other activity data that you want to view.
3. Locate the Filter and expand it. 

4. Choose your location or distance from a Zip Code and click the Filter button.
5. To send to this filtered list, export the list to an Excel file and upload it as a new Email Group.

To view a report of your Open, Click, or Web Site Activity data:

1. Click on Reporting and Analytics in your JangoMail account.
2. Click on the Open or Click data for a mailing.

3. Find the new By Location report.
