This video shows you how to configure your Gmail account to use the JangoMail SMTP Relay.

  1. Set up an authentication method in your JangoMail account by clicking Settings and then SMTP Relay.
  2. Click the Authenticate by From Address button.
  3. Enter the From Address from which you will be sending. You may enter multiple From Addresses.
  4. Configure your Gmail account by signing in and going to the Settings link in the upper right corner.
  5. Click the Accounts tab.
  6. You should already have your business email address set up in Gmail. If you don't, you can click on Add Another Email Address and follow the steps provided. In this example, we have set the business address as the default sending address.
  7. In the Send Mail As section, click the Edit Info link that is next to your business address.
  8. When you see the popup, click Next Step.
  9. Choose the Send through [your domain] SMTP servers option.
  10. For SMTP Server, erase the default and type relay.jangosmtp.net.
  11. For Port, choose 25.
  12. Type in your JangoMail Username and Password.
  13. Click Save Changes.
  14. Gmail will now send your emails via the JangoMail SMTP Relay Service. Test it out by sending an email. Make sure you are sending an HTML version of your email so that JangoMail can track Opens and Clicks.
  15. Once an email is sent, you can track Opens and Clicks by logging into your JangoMail account.
  16. Go to the Reports tab.
  17. Click on Transactional Emails
  18. Click the Actions report. Here you can see Opens and Clicks for your person to person emails.
