The new API-centric feature, dubbed SendTransactionalEmail, is designed for users who have JangoMail running as the engine behind their applications that send individually triggered email messages to single recipients. JangoMail has coupled the new method with a robust reporting module for tracking these campaigns. The United States CAN-SPAM law defines a "transactional" message as any email "facilitating, completing or confirming a previously agreed upon transaction." In business, this translates to sending a lot of individual emails out rapidly. Examples include sales confirmations, shipping notifications, event schedules and more. Available now, the SendTransactionalEmail API method allows for rapid processing of single emails while retaining full tracking functionality (opens, clicks, unsubscribes and bounces) for the mailings. In addition, the new feature will include support for DomainKeys, DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) and SenderID authentication. "Business Web sites sending order confirmations, organizations sending out appointment reminders, or social networking sites sending notifications of friend requests can now use JangoMail's SendTransactionalEmail API method with full tracking and authentication instead of relaying these single-recipient emails through their own email servers," said Ajay Goel, President of JangoMail.
