Connecting to a LAN Database
JangoMail can connect to the following types of databases on an individual PC or a Local Area Network:
Any ODBC compliant database
Microsoft Access
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft SQL Server
Goldmine
dBase Files and Applications using dBase (like QuickFill and ServantKeeper)
All fields in the relevant tables of a database can be used to personalize the subject and message of a mass emailing.
To connect to a local database, after logging in, click on the "Extract from my database" tab, and then click the "Connect to Local Database" option. The first time you enter this section, you will have to allow JangoMail to install some software on your computer. You must choose "Yes" to the series of popup install boxes that will appear. This functionality makes use of an ActiveX control.
